Ok so I received my 4 jackets this morning so thought I'd give you all my opinion on them.
Dressing you Wii-mote
First of all when you take the jacket out of the packet you'll notice that Nintendo have included an instruction sheet. Of course you can work out how to fit it just by looking at it but hey. Putting it on is really easy, first you put the top of the wii-mote through the big gap in the front af the jacket and push it up all the way inside. Next you thread the wrist strap though a hole in the bottom of the jacket and finally pull the remaining part of the jacket over the bottom of the wii-mote. There's a connector cover which you can slip over the external extension connector (the bit that the nunchuck goes into) although if you're using a nunchuck or classic controller you can just move this out of the way.
Undressing
Of course there are going to be times when you'll need to remove the jacket. If you need to change the batteries or want to put it into the upcoming Wii Zapper etc. This is also really easy. I have some of the other wii-mote covers commercially available and I'll tell you changing the batteries is a pain, you have to take the whole thing off then put it back on again and as they're so tight, that isn't always the easiest thing to do. These jackets make it easy, you just slip the bottom of the jacket off to expose the battery cover, change 'em and put it back. Taking it off altogether is also simple, just reversing the actions taken to put it on.
Functionality
Ok so is there really any point? Well, yes and no depending on the situation. For seasoned gamers such as Zayne and I who use the wii-mote responsibly instead of waving it around like a loon trying to swat a fly then no, there isn't a lot of need for it. On the other hand, especially with Christmas approaching, I imagine if family or friends visit and end up having a go on your Wii then i'd be happy to leave them too it, safe in the knowledge that even if they do end up smacking it off a wall the wii-mote will remain in one peice. I'll end with the following comment, although it does look pretty ugly would you rather risk someone smashing your wii-mote and you having to spend 30quid on a new one or get one of these jackets (for free) and let them smack it off walls 'til they're hearts content. (Sacred-Realm.co.uk does not condone purposely smacking wii-motes off walls.. PS3s on the over hand...)
