According to an article on Nintendo of Europe's website today, on the 26th November (next monday at the time of writing this) they will be finally closing the current website as they "enter the final stages of preparation for [their] new online home".
The current website has been, much to the annoyance of most Nintendo fans, unchanged since it came online back in August 2002.
Whether the new site will be opened immediately after the closure of the current on or if we will have to wait a while for the new one to come online is unclear at the moment.
Hopefully this new website will feature a drastically improved stars catalogue, maybe even finally allowing users to exchange stars for wii points (although personally I doubt this will happen until the latter half of next year).
Whatever happens, we at Sacred-Realm will be giving our thoughts once the new site comes online
